The Sooke and Electoral Area Parks and Recreation Commission (SEAPARC) is seeking community input to design a new skate park in Sooke.

“The skate park is an integral part of Sooke’s recreation amenities, and these improvements further our commitment to supporting sport and recreation for all members of our community,” SEAPARC board chair Al Beddows said.

To lead the venture, SEAPARC has enlisted the expertise of Radius Contracting, known for their skate park designs. Together, they aim to create a park that not only addresses the current needs but also reflects the spirit and aspirations of the community.

Resident can contribute to the development of the Sooke Skate Park by participating in an interactive design workshop on Monday, May 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at SEAPARC Recreation Centre, 2168 Phillips Road.
